As a person who loves wearing brightly coloured clothes, I find that wearing red helps me walk tall and feel ok in my own skin. The colour fuels my energy and vitality, lifting my spirits. Hence the title of my book, ‘Wearing Red - One Woman’s Journey to Sanity’.

For most of my adult life, I’ve lived with debilitating bi-polar mood swings. In order to maintain my own recovery and live with my mood fluctuations, I’ve developed my own well-being kit over the years, which I share in my blogs.

My regular blog posts on this site are a practical resource, containing reflections, insights and tools on self-care to help us stay afloat and well, emotionally and mentally, despite adversity, in these ever-changing times.

As a fervent campaigner to change attitudes towards sexual abuse and mental health, I am passionate about supporting others in finding meaning in what happens to us.

My story is an act of hope and if this helps one person find a way through their darkness, then I have achieved a goal.

Welcome to my website.

Eva Melissa
